From a potential investor’s perspective, there’s too much noise in the presentation on crowdfunding platforms. It’s too hard to compare offerings. This would be a helpful overview of all current offerings that could be made interactive such that the visitor could click on each one, see a tooltip (caption box) of additional details, and then click for more details.
Thoughts?
I love a good visualization. Something like this would be extremely helpful as platforms scaled up and have 10, 20, 100 live offerings at the same time.
Fundrise is doing something similar with projected annualized return on the y-axis and the Fundrise Rating (various inputs to judge the perceived riskiness of a deal) on the x-axis.
Thanks Joe (in fairness, the Fundrise Rating scatterplot is what spawned the idea).
This is something that could probably be built for free in Google https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/scatterchart in an hour or two, but would be so incredibly valuable to platform visitors.
Over time, as the number of offerings grew, you could offer layer filters to select in/out certain property types, geographies, levels of returns, time horizons, etc.
This would also be especially valuable for the listings aggregator sites.
